Each gift box contains 5 cases of 20 species of annual, biennial, and perennial wildflower seeds offering a blend of varied colours, heights, and flower shapes. The species combine an extended flowering season with high nectar production and pollen-bearing characteristics. The 4-gram quantity per case will provide 1 square metre of coverage, as a guide between 200- 220 blooms, and help sequester up to 300 grams of carbon.

The seeds are harvested using shire horses to tow an innovative collecting buggy designed by a Formula 1 engineer. We use shire horses because the tread of their hooves is light compared to machinery, and this improves soil structure. The collecting buggy has no motorised parts; instead, a ground-driven mechanism turns an axle that brushes the ripe seeds into the hopper as we pass through the wildflower meadow. Pollinators and vertebrates are unharmed as a result and can float free or crawl away once the hopper is opened, ready for the seed to be prepared for drying. 

This is our most circular product; one that combines traditional knowledge and methods with innovative engineering and materials. Even the bridles have an inbuilt technology upgrade. They are made by the Amish and contain a wicking material between the leather layers to regulate the temperature and improve animal well-being.
